About Me
As a flower grower, artisan florist, and proud member of Flowers From The Farm, I take pride in creating beautifully scented bouquets that capture the essence of each season. The flowers I use are handpicked and conditioned with attention to detail, nurtured through organic practices that not only enhance their quality but also support local wildlife and contribute to the health of the surrounding environment.
Working with local florists, I supply a wide selection of wholesale flowers and foliage, including dried flowers, available for collection or delivery. For special occasions, I provide flower arranger buckets filled with seasonal blooms and offer DIY wedding flower packages for local customers. Additionally, I craft bespoke bouquets for every occasion, featuring fragrant, seasonally blooming flowers, available for collection or delivery.
The Farm
Holwood Flower Farm is situated on 6.5 acres of fields. 2.5 acres are for growing with additional cutting gardens and two large polytunnels. The remaining 4 acres, including woodland, are dedicated to rewilding, creating vital wildlife habitats. Flowers are grown seasonally from March to November, including spring bulbs, roses, perennials, annuals, and shrubs for foliage. Meadow areas encourage pollinating insects, and the farm also keeps its own bees. All practices follow organic principles, with no chemical use, composting, no-dig beds, and sustainable materials - avoiding floral foam in all arrangements.
The Story
My background in the land-based industry spans floristry, gardening, garden design, and teaching horticulture. The opportunity to purchase the land I'd previously grown on allowed me to turn a long-held passion into a working flower farm. That moment marked the beginning of Holwood Flower Farm, blending years of experience with a commitment to sustainable growing and a love of seasonal, locally grown flowers.
